My profile appears to be corrupt?

So I bought a game from steam in which I had to make a GFW live account in order to play.Anyway yesterday I had an internet crush and now when I open the game it says that my profile appears to be corrupt.Also it says that I need to recover it and for more informations I can check at README which I have no idea where it is...So how do you recover a corrupt profile and where is that README file

Hmm well I have only found how to recover an account in xbox360 which I do not own.How do you do it on pc?
