Looks like PS4 version of CoD may not be the best version

Obviously most of us here are really excited for the release of the Xbox One (will never use the word XBone, my opinion it's disrespectful) and obviously over the last week or so have got a little tired of the SDF posting on these forums saying that their system is more powerful etc. and that the PS4 version of CoD is the definative version.

-

Well it looks like that may not be the case, basically the reviews of the Playsation versions of CoD: Ghosts have been released, and it turns out the PS4 version has some pretty drastic frame rate issues.  As the Joystiq review put it

-

"The PlayStation 4 version, however, has noticeable technical issues, sometimes slowing to a crawl, particularly during set-piece moments with multiple effects"

-

So what's everyones opinion on this? is resolution or frame rate more important?

Well, well, well. What do you know about that? Still, the Xbox One has an embargo on so let's wait until the 12th reviews to laugh.

In a game like this frame rate is more important to me.  Of course I come from the age of squares being people and triangles being space ships.

Hehehe I think the furthest beack I go is to the Atari 2600, games like Pong, Space Invaders etc. great games at the time, but like you say frame rate is king, as long as the game looks decent and has a good stable frame rate, then thats prefect for me.

Nothing kills a game more for me than frame rate drops. I own a PS3 and thats the reason I never game on it anymore. Trying to play Fallout on it was definitely a low point in my life...

Personally, I don't care about the resolutions. But for all the flak they've been giving us over the resolutions, this kinda makes me want to smile. I said all along that framerate is more important, and this may well prove that.

Apparently some other reviewers haven't been so kind with their words with the PS4 version.

So it just remains to be seen whether the Xbox One version will run smoother at 720p? According to what I'm reading on Twitter today, a well know site is running an article sometime soon saying a few of Sony's games are suffering frame rate issues and they will blame Sony in putting pressure on developers to get games running at 1080p/60fps so I'm interested to see what's said here.

Getting back to COD Ghosts though, personally I've lost all faith in Infinity Ward, already I'm reading the game has loads of issues online on the 360 and PS3 version, modded lobbies, people being 8th prestige after only a few hours playing and now today reports of people going under/outside the map, they need to sort this out ASAP!
