Gamertag letter change

I've been trying to change the lower case "d" in my gamertag but when I type my gamertag with a capital "D" it tells me it's already in use, what can I do to just change the first letter to a capital letter?

you need to change the name twice

one to completely different name

then one for the previous name

Unforunately that is the only way. The system sees D as being the same as d so it won't let you change it because it's the same gamertag.
