error code 8007045D

im having a few problems with my xbox live accout it was fine a few days ago but when i tried signing in recently my accout was no longer on my hard drive and when ever i try and download my profile i keep on gettin the error code 8007045D

This error code would suggest you are having some issues with your storage device (HDD/USB Stick).  Take out your storage device and give it a clean.  Wait a few minutes and try putting it back into your console.  Let us know if this works.

Hi there,

can you check if the profile or a corrupted version is present in the storage section. If so delete it (profile only) and try to download it again.

Follow the steps on this link regarding this error code:

support.xbox.com/.../error-code-8007045d

And let us know the results

Do you have the ability to remove your hard drive from the console and use another storage device like a USB Flash Drive to see if you can download your profile onto that without this pesky error code?

Try turning off your console, and removing all storage devices - internal/external hard drives, USB, etc. Then, once everything is removed, ONLY add your primary storage device (i.e. your hard drive) and turn the console on again.

Update the console by going to Settings > System > Storage then simply highlight the hard drive - do NOT select it. Then, on your controller, hit the following sequence:  LB - RB - X - LB - RB - X  - LB - RB - X

You will then receive a pop up that asks to delete updates from your Xbox. Select yes. Once it is complete, download the profiles to the console. If this works, you should then be able to do a licence transfer from Account Management to transfer all your DLC. Some items may need to be downloaded again from your download history.

I hope this helps :D

Just a long shot, but can you try clearing the cache, check if there is a profile present in the storage device (just to be sure, if present delete it (profile only)) reboot the console and try redownloading the gamertag again. with only a hdd or usb connected.

@PMS Aloma I was wondering what does a license transfer or reinstall update have to do with the issue of his/her profile not being able to download?

@WPAK - Error code 8007045D is a system update failure. The troubleshooting steps I provided would have eliminated any corrupted or missing data by deleting the profiles and any updates from the storage devices. Once everything has been removed from the storage devices, the player may have had to download some items again.
