Windows 7 - Double click on files in explorer folder does not work
Hello,
Using the explorer I can single click on the folders and navigate between them. However when I try to open a file from a folder, the double click does not work. I can open the file using a right click-open file though.
I have set the folder options to double click - but this does not make a difference.
Then you'll have to associate the file type with a program,
This is kind of a redundant feature, enabling single click to open and point to select does the same thing, if the file type is associated with a default program, which it sounds like it is not, or the program is already open.
Go to your control panel, and click on default programs,
Then click on associate a file type and protocol with a program, find the file type and click on change, scroll to the program you want to open with the file type, save or close.
After setting a program to this file type either a single left click will open the file in the program, or if you just like doing it the other way it should work that way as well.
