I had to call their toll free number (1-888-237-8289). The employee was able to set me up with an in-store visit.

Yes, I called too, but I was less lucky than you and so the person I spoke with didn't do it for me, just told we need to go to the store.

Hey, we got it working ourselves! All we did was to really try steps from the very first message in this thread from the first link it was in that message. That link suggested to try wsreset.exe Once we did and waited a little bit, it did work out and we're now out of this stupid S mode, hopefully for good.

Try it out!

I just wanted to point out that in this series of troubleshooting tips, that you actually recommend using a feature that is not allowed in S mode.  The command prompt is disabled with S mode, which is absolutely terrible by the way.  There should ALWAYS be access to CMD and PowerShell regardless of the "security" concerns.

I found the answer.I had been trying to get out of S mode for weeks then finally I asked myself a question I learned from my Grandfather. Was there something wrong with it before you touched it? If not start over from before you touched it. So what I did is completley reinstalled Widows 10 to where it was before I bought it and left it over night. I got up the next day and followed the same directions to switch out of s mode and there it was, the "GET" button was blue and I was able to click on it and now I have finally downloaded my long awaited Google Chrome on this new computer.
