Cumulative Update KB3201845 Fails To Install

I have tried to install the Cumulative Update KB3201845 (Windows 10 - 64Bit), three times now because after each successive Restart, it starts to install the updates but then fails with a message about not being able to complete and is undoing (probably what it did manage to install), before booting into Windows as normal.

This results in the process starting all over again with Windows wanting to install the updates and waiting for me to click the Restart button.

My system is clean. SFC Scannow shows no file integrity errors and has always been kept fully up-to-date with all previous Cumulative updates that installed in the past with no problems. So what's going on with this one?

Here's the thing, I manually downloaded KB3201845 from the Windows Catalogue in the hope that would work but when I tried to run it I got an error and it wouldn't install so what's going on here?

got an error

If you need help you will have to give more details.

Let's see if John Wink is looking for reports for this month's update yet...

Not yet.   You could wait for it or get some ideas from previous months.  You could do that here on Answers too.  In fact, just clicking on the Related content link in your thread's header may be enough help for now.

When I tried to download the update (KB3201845) it crashes my computer. I've had to re-install Win 10 twice now. I can't find an easy way to stop it from trying to install? HELP!!!

kb3201845 failed to install, then hours later windows tried again, installed it, then installed it again.  Now it appears I have it twice on my system.  I'm afraid to try to do anything now, will Windows fix this?  I am 72 years old and have no computer expertise

To disable the windows 10 update, Right click START-Computer Management-click SERVICES under Services and Applications-right click Windows Update-click Properties-under Path to executable, Startup type: choose Disabled  - under Service Status - click STOP - click OK and Reboot. Hope it helps.

Same problem -  it has attempted to install it 3 times and restarts and fails....No idea what to do now.

Not even sure how to disable it - it used to be so much easier to manually install updates than it is now.

Thank you -  I just did all that - so that means windows updates are not going to update again for me - correct?

I will have to change all this back to check to see if they have rectified this.

The update ran fine with me, with no application problems, wi-fi problems...
