Ron, Don't waste time searching for a work around in 10. There is none. It was designed with an intended share feature that is just terrible.
I am a student, my school requires that I drop my completed PDF files into their dashboard - which in 8.1 worked PERFECTLY! After "upgrading" to 10, I spent weeks trying to discover a way to enable drag/drop - I would have even been satisfied with copy/paste
- to no avail. In addition, my PDF files auto saved to Edge, not One Drive as they previously had! (although I managed to switch that in the directory)
I believe the intention in 10 is to force the user to notify others of a documents' (or in your case a pictures') location, and then give permissions for specific people to view it....which is absurd.
This share feature for 10 may work with a small percentage of documents, within working groups. Maybe they were going for something similar to the Google documents feature? But that only works in limited cicumstances, where shared viewing of an item is sufficient.
Windows 10 certainly does not have the flexibility to adapt to normal "sharing" that is done between a variety of platforms, including social media.
I returned my system to 8.1 and I am very pleased.
