Camera Raw Codec download - Windows 10

Why is it so hard to let camera raw codec and photo viewer run on this POS windows 10, Nobody wants your new viewer, no its not better. This has been an ongoing issue and Microsoft refuses to comment as to why their previous versions did what we wanted and that we want back but can't get. Is my only possible way to get want I want after buying you NEW software is downgrade to Windows 7 or 8 and then upgrade back to 10 again, because if that's the case, I am done. After supporting Microsoft since the start, this issue ends our relationship. I have photopshop, lightroom, on1 raw 2018, dxo pro and canon dp but can not view a raw thumbnail thats really a jpeg BS

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forum.

Windows Photo Viewer might be present on some systems that were upgraded from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. The codecs available in the Microsoft Camera Codec Pack are built-in to Windows 10, but to add a few propriety formats not supported by Windows, one still needs a codec.

You may want to go through Photo viewer for Windows 10 for more information regarding the same.

The Photos app doesn’t support RAW images at this time. I suggest you to post a feedback regarding the same in the Feedback Hub. The Feedback Hub lets you tell Microsoft about any problems or suggestions that you face while using Windows 10, and this will help us implement your feedback in the future updates.
