Rules not running automatically in Outlook 2016

I have set up rules in Outlook 2016 (Office 365) to automatically categorize all email with a particular word in the subject line under a particular category (and then to be displayed in a different font in my inbox).

Starting in the last week or so, this rule will not run automatically (although it used to). It does work correctly if I run it manually, and other, similar rules work.

I have already tried:

- deleting and re-writing the rule (fixes it at the time but doesn't apply it to new emails afterwards)

- deleting and re-building the SRS file (fixed it at the time but doesn't apply it to new emails afterwards)

This doesn't quite seem to match other rules-not-working questions, so I thought I'd try again.

Of possible relevance: I'm using a Google Apps email address, Windows 10.

There are several factors why you are experiencing the said issue. One factor might be that some files are corrupted. May we know if there were any changes made before the issue started to happen? For the meantime, we suggest that you run the Office repair through your control panel. Kindly follow the steps provided in this link.
