Connect to multiple Sharepoint locations using WebDAV

Hi,

Give that:

  1. I work with a few organisations whom all use Office 365, therefore, all have their own contoso.sharepoint.com links for their OneDrive for Business.
  2. I need to be able to access all of those Sharepoint folders seamlessly.
  3. I'm also an Office 365 Admin on some of those organisations.
  4. I need to make sure users have an easy simple solution to follow.

Therefore, I need to be able to use 'Add a network location' without going to the Internet Explorer (as I cannot use it to login to multiple accounts simultaneously).

In fact, the main problem that I have right now is that when I try to 'Add a network location' in Windows Explorer or using the 'net use' command, I get errors.

I need to know how I can just simply 'Add a network location' or 'Map a network' drive without using Internet Explorer.

Thanks,

Answer

Hi Haneef Ibn Ahmad,

The suggested method is to go to the site below as an admin:

https://portal.office.com/adminportal/home#/users

Select a user > OneDrive settings > Access Files.

For your requirement, you can try this:
1. In This PC, click Computer Tab > Map network drive.

2. Checkmark "Connect using different credentials".

3. Input:
\\contoso-my.sharepoint.com@ssl\personal\jim_contoso_onmicrosoft_com\

and click Finish.

Result:

Note: If you cannot successfully make it, check the following before you re-add it:
1. Go to Internet Explorer > Gear > Internet options > Security >Trusted sites, add the site to your white list:
https://contoso-my.sharepoint.com
(If it still doesn't work, also add
https://contoso-files.sharepoint.com
https://contoso-myfiles.sharepoint.com
https://contoso.sharepoint.com)
2. In IE browser, login to OneDrive for Business with that account.

Thanks,
Jim
