Xbox (Beta) app error - 0x00000001

When trying to download any game off of the pc games pass I get that error on the Xbox app and games don't install from the microsoft store either. I've tried powershell, tried resetting both apps, run windows store apps trouble shooters... even checked sfc. I cannot solve this issue.

I tried uninstalling the app which then broke the installer too...even after uninstalling the installer it wouldn't work either so that was fun to fix.

I don't understand how this has arose, the first time I used the app everything was perfect, untill I went to download my second game (download did start though, the game did have a shortcut too) the app completely froze. Covered my screen in black and had to restart my pc, the app then wouldn't start so there came my first problem. 

My windows 10 is up to date. Troubleshooting found no problems, neither did I find any corrupt files. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm having the same problem. I tried everything, even the reinstall windows with the creation tool.

I even contacted the support chat, 6 microsoft employees took over my screen/computer for hours and they weren't able to fix it so they don't know.

I think since the last windows update or xbox app update the problem started here?

I have the same problem.  

I can't download certain software from the MS Store or Xbox (beta).
For example,

”Microsoft Flight Simulator”

”F1 2019”

But, I can download “Forza Horizon 4” etc...

I changed my local account and Microsoft account (and re-contracted the xbox game pass), but it didn't work.

I'm afraid not. On monday the microsoft employee said this "I will get back to you as soon as possible".

I haven't heard anything since.

I contacted them again and immediately got this response: 

Hello. I am still checking on our Xbox team. I am still waiting for the reply on the forums.

I will keep everybody up to date here with the microsoft contact.

They proposed format C as solution : 

"All of the solution that comes up is directed to custom installation. And as we have talked about, that is not an option."

I said it is not a solution because maybe the problem comes back and i don't want to lose everything every time.

they replied: 

That is the same reason I do not want to proceed with the custom installation. I will get back to you as soon as I have the result. I am also reporting this problem on our team so we can find a better solution that will not involve the custom installation.

Let's hope they find a solution fast. As soon i get a reply I will post it here.

I am using using Windows 10 (Version 2004) on a Razer Blade 15 Laptop i7-8750H with 16GB ram &  GTX1060 MaxQ.

I think that maybe it's not a bad idea that i send this thread to the support so they know that i'm not the only one with this problem.
