Locked Privilege in Forza Horizon 4 on PC

Hi!

My son is connected to "my family" as a Child. I have set no restrictions for him.
When he is trying to get to "find new tunes" in "Upgrade and Tuning" he got an error message that says "Locked Privilege, This feature is blocked per your Xbox Live parential Control settings". Why? How to solve this problem?

Hi there,

this could be the setting related to User Created Content.

You should be able to find the setting here: http://account.xbox.com/settings

if you login with the parental account you should be able to check and change the settings for the Child account.

If the settings are all correctly set up, if a change is made, it might be needed to restart the PC just to be sure and then see if the issue was resolved or not.

Let us know the results

I'm not sure, but this may also possibly be something that Forza has set up so that even if they have no restrictions, child accounts can't access new music etc to buy themselves. I know they get a lot of requests for refunds in games like this as parents contact games like Forza, Fortnite, Minecraft etc about their children spending large amounts of money in-game with real money and they were not supposed to do this, and then they must issue refunds. Forza may have set a block on this for any child account regardless of the settings, so that might be another possibility.

You may want to try this

Go to account.xbox.com website. Log in under your account.

Go to "privacy & online safety" page.

on the page you should see your profile and your child(s).

click on the child profile pic, it should be green now.

click the "Xbox One Online Safety" tab.

Allow everything but "buy and download".

Click save at the bottom!

click the "Xbox 360 Online Safety" tab.

allow the first 2 "Accept Friend Requests" and "Online Gameplay".

make sure you click save.

Then sign the profile out of the Xbox and back in so the changes take effect.

Try see in your Parental Configuration, the your son accont don't have any restriction at all, some time we think with the a parental account dont have restriction but some option actived can be the problem. If don't resolve try make a report in https://support.xbox.com

Hi everybody that response for this question. And thanks for all your suggestions.

I have tried to change the settings from my account for my Children but it seems to not been taken. When I save and reload the page it's back to the old settings. But I can't see that setting that would make the error message.

My son tried again this morning but the same error message apeare.

Hi Snow,

Thanks for letting us know it hasn't worked. This has been an issue since launch of the game. Personally have an adult account has been for few decades, I am still unable to access a few things. I get the exact error code you get that I need to change parental control settings. We recommend to post on the Forza forums, there also already may be answers there on how to fix.

Thanks,

Brad

Stay safe have fun. GAME HARD just not too hard :) ಠ益ಠ
