Xbox live msg for 1 week free gold due to downtime.

On 3/11/2014, XBL went down i guess. (was from about 12pm-2am).  I got a message from Xbox live on 4/3/2014 saying i would receive 1 week of gold membership due to the down time.  I have yet to see this 1 free week of membership.

How long is this suppose to take?

I saw another post similar to yours on another part of the forums.  One of the support people replied that the 7 days would have been automatically applied at the time of the message.  However, it was a 7 day trial code.  As those do not work with people who have a Gold membership I'm not sure how that would have been applied.

I would recommend contacting @xboxsupport on Twitter for more help with that.

Just to clarify, it was not a trial code.

Trial codes do not stack on top of existing Gold memberships. The 7 days given for this instance would be added on to whatever Gold membership you currently have.
