Xbox backwards compatibility code issues

I have Fallout 3, Just Cause 2 and GoW 3 codes but I can't redeem. It just says " something went wrong" with the error:

I have spoken to your team countless times on chat and I get fobbed off with " oh there's an update which will fix this " or " try again in a few days". This is unacceptable.

I was asked to do this in hope that there is a cause and it will be sorted because I am rather frustrated. They are active as I have been told by your staff members and because they can't figure it out I have been sent to you. I am doubtful this will get sorted and it is a big blow to know I can't use this supposedly awesome feature.

I was also told to give out these codes but I am not prepared to wirte them on here in case someone takes them and they manage to activate it on their accounts.

Please get back to me and prove to me you're not as much of a lost cause that your chat support are.

Well there isn't going to be an update to fix that

That issue is something you have to fiz yourself it is your physical location that us the issue

Your account location and actual location must match that is an region error due to mismatches region

I'm not sure why support didn't mentioned that to you

If you do not live in an xbox live region you cannot get it

Us foreign bases must use local region not us as the ip would not be the us

Xbox 360 gears of wars games are region locked and can only be downloaded with matching regions due to the restrictions governments have on them (some governments actually based the games)

It was suggested and I have made sure it is all set to the UK. All codes are from that region too.

Also may I add that I received the gears of war judgement code too and that has worked fine

I'm having the same issue with the Fallout 3 code sent from buying Fallout 4. So if I understood correctly, backwards compatibility is region locked? What the hell Microsoft?

Like I said I've had one work and not the other so this isn't the problem. I think they don't actually know why it's messed up and are feeding is rubbish to shut us up. If I buy a UK game I expect it to work on a UK account and a UK console. I'm going to ring up and I'll let you know if I get the same generic response. I want a decent answer

Let me do what this guy didn't.

Go to your account on the pc, go to xbox settings and 360 change region. Changed mine to UK and it worked.
