Email for 160 points "code is no longer available"

I have the same problem posted here by LT Jay Gatsby22:

I received an email yesterday 6/13 offering a code for 160 points with the subject: "Get more of your favorite games with 160 points on us." As you can see, the box says "Sorry, the code is no longer available." I clicked the link "Redeem Now" and didn't get any points on my account. It said to enter a 25 digit code, which I don't have.

Text of the email says: "You want more from your favorite games. You can get it with Microsoft(R) Points. And we're giving you 160 free points right now.* Just redeem the code below to get your points: Then head to Xbox LIVE(R) Marketplace and use your points to get game add-ons, Avatar gear, Arcade games, movies, and more. "

The sender is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and the links go to click.engage.xbox.com.

Please tell me how to get my 25 digit code for 160 points.

Most of these free e-mail codes have a expiration date, that's probably your case (please check the small letters at this same emal), you probably took too long to redeem the code and it expired. I'm sorry for your situation. Maybe a member of the support team can give you a new code, but it's quite hard to happen. Next time, don't take long to redeem your prizes.

Hmm, I tried to redeem it as soon as I got the email (within 24 hours of the sent time). Well here's the fine print:

"Code must be redeemed by June 30, 2012, midnight Pacific Time. Microsoft Points must be used by June 30, 2012, midnight Pacific Time"

So, it sounds like it should have been good for another couple weeks.

I hope a support team member please can help find out what happened to my 25-digit code.

Thank you Mister Darcy. As I posted, the date was June 13 (6/13). Here is the exact time stamp from the mail headers:

Subject: Get more of your favorite games with 160 points on us.
Date: Wed, 13 Jun 2012 19:44:51 -0600

I also have the same exact problem, and I just got my email today at 7 p.m. MDT.  The email said that my points could be used for Left 4 Dead 2, but other than that, my email is the exact same.

Hello, Mister Darcy. Do you have any updates on a solution to these missing email promotional point codes? It sounds like many people have the same issue. I hope you can fix it soon, before sending out more emails with missing codes.

Nevermind, my code finally showed up and it works!  Funny how I could have lost it because of having it posted in this forum even though I didn't think that they would fix it the way that they did.

So you can ignore trying to use the code in my last comment since it should no longer work for anyone else.
