Bought 12 Months +1 Month +800 Points, told to wait 3 months for points, now have to post here! What a joke!

I originally bought 12 month LIVE subscription with +1 month FREE and 800 Points!

Deal was on my Xbox console

I never received my points, so I spoke with support and they told me to wait three months!

What a joke! Why do I have to wait? Microsoft took my money instantly!

Just so people buy more points, as they can not be bothered to wait 3 months!

Anyway I waited 3 months, still NOTHING!

I have checked my emails, NOTHING!

I spoke with support again, and they tell me I have to post here to get my 800 points! (WTF!)

Why do Xbox / Microsoft do this?

Please issue my 800 points, I want a map pack, and I don't want to buy points when I have purchased some already (but not received them yet!)

Hey there Lee! I'm sorry for any delay, but all dashboard promotions usually take 6-8 weeks from the end of the promotion to send out any points, so that wait time is normal.

That said, I'd like to make sure you get your points. First, can you confirm for me that you checked both your WLID and contact email (live.xbox.com/.../ContactPreferences) inboxes, as well as all junk, spam, and trash folders? Let me know and we'll go from there. Thanks!

Nope nothing in emails, and spam filter is off on that email!

LOL, Yes i did, and my Live ID Email is the same email as my Xbox Email, and I have no SPAM filters on that email address, it is my own email account, so I switched off spam filtering ages ago.

Why are the points not credited instantly when I joined LIVE?

They should be, no reason why Microsoft can't instantly credit new accounts with the promo points!

Seems like a stupid method, and time consuming, and costly for MS!
