Bridging Guide

  1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
  2. Open a web browser.
  3. Log into the router by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser. Example 192.168.1.1
  4. The router will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default user name and password are: "admin" and "password"/"admin"/"password1".
  5. Select Wireless Settings from the menu at the top.
  6. Select Basic Security Settings from the menu on the left.
  7. Select Off next to Wireless in the first section.
  8. Click the Apply button at the bottom.
  9. Select My Network from the menu at the top.
  10. Select Broadband Connection from the menu on the left.
  11. Click the Edit button (has a yellow pencil on it) next to the Enabled PPPoE connection listed in VCs.
  12. From the Protocol drop down select Bridge.

  1. Through firmware
  2. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
  3. Open a web browser.

  6. Select Advanced from the tabs at the top.
  7. Select WAN.
  8. From within the WAN menu select VCs.
  9. Click the Edit button.
  10. From the Protocol drop down on the following screen select Bridge.
  11. Click the Set VC button at the bottom of the menu.
