How to Find SSID (Network Name)

  1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
  2. Open a web browser.
  3. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted, enter in “admin” for the username and “admin” or “wirelessdsl” for the password.
  4. Select Gateway from the menu at the top.
  5. Select home network from the menu on the left.
  6. Select begin wireless wizard.
  7. The SSID (Network Name) will be listed to the right of SSID.
  8. A new name can be set by typing in this field.
  9. If the name was changed click Next until given the opportunity to click Finish.
  10. Click the Finish button.

 

How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)

 

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted, enter in “admin” for the username and “admin” or “wirelessdsl” for the password.
  3. Select Gateway from the menu at the top.
  4. Select home network from the menu on the left.
  5. Select begin Wireless Wizard.
  6. Select Next on the first two pages.
  7. The WEP key will be listed where it say 64 Bit key or on the next page where it says 128 Bit Key.

 

Changing Wireless Security Type/ Disabling Wireless Security

 

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted, enter in “admin” for the username and “admin” or “wirelessdsl” for the password.
  3. Select Gateway from the menu at the top.
  4. Select home network from the menu on the left.
  5. Select begin wireless wizard.
  6. Select Next.
  7. To disable wireless security select Disable Security from the Security Mode drop down.
  8. If an alternate method of security is desired choose from: WEP 64 Bits, WPA-PSK TKIP, WPA-PSK AES.
  9. Select Next.
  10. Set or verify the wireless passphrase on this screen.
  11. Click Finish.

 

MAC Filtering

 

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted, enter in “admin” for the username and “admin” or “wirelessdsl” for the password.
  3. Select Gateway from the menu at the top.
  4. Select home network from the menu on the left.
  5. Select begin wireless wizard.
  6. Select Next twice.
  7. Set Wireless Filter to Disable.
  8. Click the Finish button.

 

Change Wireless Channel

 

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted, enter in “admin” for the username and “admin” or “wirelessdsl” for the password.
  3. Select Gateway from the menu at the top.
  4. Select home network from the menu on the left.
  5. Select begin wireless wizard.
  6. At the bottom on the page, in the drop-down menu select the desired channel. (Channels 1.3.9,11)

 

Change Wireless Mode

 

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted, enter in “admin” for the username and “admin” or “wirelessdsl” for the password.
  3. Select Gateway from the menu at the top.
  4. Select home network from the menu on the left.
  5. Select begin wireless wizard.
  6. Select Next four times.
  7. Select 802.11G from the Station Environment Compatibility drop down.
  8. Click Finish.

 

DHCP Reservation

DHCP Reservation is not available on this device.

 

UPnP Toggle

 

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted enter the admin for the username and admin for the password if the gateway asks.
  3. Select UPnP from the left menu.
  4. Toggle UPnP.

 

DMZ

 

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted enter admin for the user name and admin for the password.
  3. Under the section titled setup, select firewall from the menu on the left.
  4. Select DMZ.
  5. Select “enable DMZ with this host IP address:”
  6. Enter in the IP address of the Xbox in the box.
  7. Select apply.

 

Disable DMZ

 

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted enter admin for the user name and admin for the password.
  3. Under the section titled setup, select firewall from the menu on the left.
  4. Select DMZ.
  5. Select Disabled.
  6. Click the Finish button.

 

Port Forwarding

 

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted enter the admin for the username and admin for the password if the gateway asks.
  3. Under the section titled setup, select port forwarding from the menu on the left.
  4. In the section that is titled Add/Edit Entry, select TCP from the drop-down menu and enter in “3074” for the boxes that say “TCP/UDP port(s)”.
  5. Select the button next to “redirect selected protocol/service to IP Address” and enter in the IP address of the console in the box to the right of it.
  6. Select Apply.

 

Disable Port Forwarding

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted enter the admin for the username and admin for the password if the gateway asks.
  3. Under the section titled setup, select port forwarding from the menu on the left.
  4. Click the Delete button next to the entry that refers to port number 3074.

 

Firewall

 

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted enter the admin for the username and admin for the password if the gateway asks.
  3. Under the section titled setup, select firewall from the menu on the left and then filter ruled from the submenu.
  4. Uncheck enabled attack detection system.
  5. Select Apply.

  3. Using a toothpick or ballpoint pen press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds.
  4. Wait for the device to restart.

 

Bridging Guide

 

  1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
  2. Open a web browser.
  3. Enter http://192.168.254.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted, enter in “admin” for the username and “admin” or “wirelessdsl” for the password.
  4. Click on ‘ISP Connection.’
  5. Click ‘Advanced Settings’, then click ‘Configure the ATM Virtual Circuit.’
  6. Click ‘Add a New VC.’
  7. Set the VPI to 0 and the VCI to 35 (These could be different, check with the previously used VC to confirm). Click ‘Next.’
  8. Select ‘RFC-2684 Bridged’ and Click Next.
  9. Enter a name for the connection (or just leave the default) and click Next then click Finish.
  10. Delete all of the VCs except the one you just created. (you can always restore defaults)
  11. Make sure the new VC is Enabled and Reboot the modem.

  4. Select the Advanced tab from the top.
  5. Select Wireless Network
  6. The Network Name (SSID) is listed next to SSID. If you wish to change the Network Name it can be here.
  7. If the name was changed click the Apply button at the bottom right.

  3. Select Advanced Settings from the menu at the top.

  5. Select Encryption & Authentication from the sub-menu.
  6. There is a drop-down box on this page that says how to passphrase is configured: WPA, WEP64 or WEP128. Based on what security configuration the gateway is set up, click on that section on the left.
  7. The passphrase will be located on this page.

  8. Alternate modes of Wireless Security can be selected from this drop down. Select WPA/WPA2 or WEP.
  9. Click the Apply button once you have selected your security type.

  6. Set to disabled to shut UPnP off or Enable full internet Gateway Device (IGD) support to turn UPnP.
  7. Click the Apply button in the lower right corner.

  2. Locate the small reset button on the back or bottom of the device.
  3. Using a toothpick or similar device press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds.

 

Bridging Guide

 

  1. First reset your SE567 to its factory settings. Hold the reset button on the bottom in until the power light starts alternating green and red.
  2. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
  3. Open a web browser.
  4. Enter http://192.168.1.254 into the address bar. (Or click the link) When prompted enter the “admin” for the username and “telus” for the password if the gateway asks.
  5. Go through the Setup Wizard (or manually, your choice) and configure your security and any other settings the way you want them. When you are done you will be asked to reboot.
  6. Go to the above URL and log in once again.
  7. Go to the following URL to turn on bridge mode: »192.168.1.254/brgmode.htm This URL is not anywhere in the settings, you will have to go there manually. You will be asked to reboot the SE567 once again.
  8. After rebooting, unplug your computer from port 1 and plug your WAN connection into port 4. You should now be able to access the SE567 with your laptop and the security settings you applied to it.

 

Multiple Console Support

We have confirmed that this network device is unable to support more than one console with an Open NAT. 

 

Known Issues

This device can have very specific firmware based on the ISP.  Frontier and Telus both have custom firmware that is used with this device.
