  • Gateway - 192.168.0.1
  • Username – admin or superuser (If your ISP is Comcast use “comcast”)
  • Password – password (If your ISP is Comcast use “1234”)

How to Find SSID (Network name)

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. From the menu on the left, locate the section labeled Setup. In this section click on Wireless Settings.
  5. The SSID can be found on this page labeled Name(SSID).

 

How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. From the menu on the left under the Setup section choose Wireless Settings.
  5. The wireless passphrase can be found near the bottom of the page.

 

Changing Wireless Security Type/ Disabling Wireless Security

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. From the menu on the left under the Setup section choose Wireless Settings.
  5. Select the desired security type under Security Options. (To turn off the security, select Disable)
  6. Select Apply.

 

 

MAC Filtering

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter "admin" or "superuser" for the username. For the password use password.
  4. From the menu on the left, locate the section labeled Advanced. In this section, choose MAC Filtering.
  5. Uncheck the MAC Filter List Enable box.
  6. Click Apply.

 

Change Wireless Channel

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. Select Wireless settings from the left hand menu under Setup.
  5. From the drop down menu labeled Channel select the desired channel. (1,3,9,11)
  6. Click Apply.

DHCP Reservation

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. Click LAN IP on the left.
  5. In the middle of the page you will find the DHCP Reservation Lease Info table.
  6. Enter in the MAC Address and IP Address of the Xbox.
  7. Select Add.

 

UPnP  

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. From the menu on the left under the advanced section choose UPnP.
  5. Check or uncheck UPnP.
  6. Select Apply.

 

DMZ

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. From the menu on the left under the advanced section select WAN setup.
  5. Enter the IP address assigned to the Xbox console into DMZ Address.
  6. Select Apply.

 

Disable DMZ 

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. From the menu on the left under the advanced section select WAN setup.
  5. Enter a “0” into DMZ Address.
  6. Select Apply.

 

Port Forwarding

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. From the menu on the left select Firewall Rules.
  5. In the table labeled Add Custom Rules enter Xbox for the Name.
  6. Enter in 3074 for both the Start Port and End Port.
  7. Set the Protocol to Both.
  8. Then enter the IP address of the Xbox console.
  9. Click Add.

 

Disable Port Forwarding

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. From the menu on the left select Firewall Rules.
  5. Select the port you would like to remove.
  6. Select the Delete button.
  7. Select Apply.

 Firewall

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. Click on Services and under Content Filtering on the left.
  5. Uncheck the box for Firewall Features.
  6. Select Apply.
  7. Power cycle the device.

 

How to Find Firmware Version 

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter admin or superuser for the username. For the password use password.
  4. From the menu on the left under the Maintenance section choose Gateway Status.
  5. The firmware version is on this page labeled Software Version.

  1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.

 Known Issues

This device has a “Super User” access account. This account gives much more control and may have the ability to modify the wireless mode that the standard Admin account is not capable of doing.

In order for the Xbox 360 console to connect normally, the firewall needs to be turned off.

  4. From the menu on the top choose Feature Setup.
  5. Select Wireless Settings from the submenu below the main menu.
  6. Select your desired security type from the drop down menu labeled WEP Encryption Strength.  (To turn off the security, select None)
  7. Click Apply.

 

MAC Filtering

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter “comcast” for the username. For the password use “1234”.
  4. From the menu on the top, choose Feature Setup.
  5. Select Wireless Settings from the submenu.
  6. Select Wireless Access Filter at the top of this page.
  7. Select the "No" radio button.
  8. Click Apply.

 

Change Wireless Channel

DMZ

  1. Open web browser.

  4. From the menu on the top choose Feature Setup.
  5. Select DMZ from the sub-menus.
  6. Select the “Connected Computers” button.
  7. Find the Xbox on this list from either the IP Address or the MAC Address and select the Add radial button.
  8. Select Apply.

 

Disable DMZ

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter “comcast” for the username. For the password use “1234”.
  4. From the menu on the top choose Feature Setup.
  5. Select DMZ from the sub-menus.
  6. Select the Remove button.
  7. Select Apply.

 

Port Forwarding

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. If prompted for a username and password enter “comcast” for the username. For the password use “1234”.
  4. From the menu on the top choose Feature Setup.
  5. Select Port Configuration from the sub-menu.
  6. For Application Name type in Xbox.
  7. For Port range type “3074 to 3074”.
  8. Select Both for Protocol.
  9. Type in the Xbox’s IP Address.
  10. Click the Enable box.
  11. Select Apply.

 

Disable Port Forwarding

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Login to router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
