Login Information

  • Gateway - 192.168.0.1
  • Username - cusadmin/chtruser/chtrtech
  • Password - password/charter

Wireless Security

Wireless Passphrase

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. Under the Wireless section on the left, select Security.
  6. Look to see what type of passphrase is enabled from the four drop-down boxes at the top.
  7. For a WPA key, the passphrase will be listed in the box that says WPA Pre-Shared Key. Verify which key the gateway is using by looking at the drop-down box that says current network key. For a WEP key, look in the box that says Network Key 1.

How to Change Wireless Security

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. Under the Wireless section on the left, select Security.
  6. Enable desired security type. (WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK)
  7. To turn off wireless security, select Disabled for all security types.
  8. Select Apply.

 

DMZ

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. On the left side select DMZ Host.
  6. Type in the IP Address of the Xbox.
  7. Select Apply.

Disable DMZ

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. On the left side select DMZ Host.
  6. Type in 0.0.0.0
  7. Select Apply.

 

Port Forwarding

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. On the left side select Port Forwarding.
  6. In local IP Adr type in the IP Address of the Xbox.
  7. In Start Port and End Port type in 3074.
  8. In Protocol drop-down box select both.
  9. Put a check in the enable box.
  10. Select Apply.

Disable Port Forwarding

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. On the left side select Port Forwarding.
  6. Uncheck the Enable box of the ports you want to remove.
  7. Select Apply.

 

Firewall

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. Select Options under Firewall on the left side.
  6. Uncheck IP Flood Detection and Firewall Protection.
  7. Click Apply.

 

Restore Defaults

Through firmware

Through Hardware

  1. Plug the computer into a LAN 1 port via an ethernet cable.
  2. Locate the reset button on the device.
  3. With paperclip/pen/toothpick hold down the reset button down for 30 seconds.
  4. Wait for lights to turn off then return to normal.

 

How to Change Wireless Mode

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. Under the Wireless section on the left, select Advanced.
  6. Select “54g Only” for 54g Network Mode.
  7. Select Apply.

 

How to Change Wireless Channel

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. Under the Wireless section on the left, select Basic.
  6. For New Channel select (1,3,9,11).
  7. Select Apply.

 

Update Firmware

How to Find Firmware Version

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. Select System at the top.
  5. The firmware is on this page labeled Software Revision.

 

UPnP

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. Click Setup across the top.
  5. Click Options under Advanced Settings on the left.
  6. Put a check mark next to UPnP Enable.
  7. Click Apply.

 

DHCP Reservation

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. Click Setup across the top.
  5. Click "Fixed CPE IP Assignment" under Basic Settings on the left.
  6. Enter in the Xbox's IP and Mac address.
  7. Click "Add Static IP" to add the Xbox to the reserved list.

MAC Filter

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. Under the Advanced Settings section on the left, select MAC Address Filtering.
  6. Select the Clear All button.
  7. Select Apply.

 

How to Find SSID (Network Name)

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
  3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter.
  4. In the menu at the top, select Setup.
  5. Under the Wireless section on the left, select Basic.
  6. The SSID is located on this page labeled Service Set Identifier (SSID).

 

Multiple Console Support

We have confirmed that this network device is unable to support more than one console with an Open NAT.
