Bridging Guide

DMZPlus mode will work as an IP passthrough which can function much like a bridge. This should be the preferred method.

There is also a way to bridge the gateway. To do so make sure to follow these steps. Also make sure to have your PPPoE user name and password from your ISP before beginning this process.

Bridging Guide

1. Type http://192.168.1.254/mdc in the address bar.
2. Click 'Configure' under the Broadband Link section.
3. Select 'Disabled' for the ATM PVC Search
4. Confirm that the ATM Circuit Identifier values are set to 8 for the VPI and 35 for the VCI.
5. Set Connection Type to Direct IP.
6. Click Submit.
7. Click Configure Services under the Advanced section of System Summary.
8. Uncheck the Enable Routing checkbox.
9. Click Submit.

Known Issues

Parental Controls and Downloads: This device may ship with Parental Controls, not visible to the consumer, which will prevent downloads over 2GB in size.

Manual IP: This device may periodically not respond to DHCP requests from the Xbox. If the Xbox intermittently stops obtaining an IP address, it may be necessarily to assign the Xbox manual IP settings with an IP between the range of 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.63. This is due to the fact that all other IP addresses are reserved for DHCP usage by the gateway and will cause conflicts if assigned to the Xbox.
