Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again.

In the middle of purchasing the Assassins Creed games in the daily deal, I received a generic error message stating:

"Sorry - Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again."

I'm not sure why this is, because:

  • I successfully purchased two of the four games on sale prior to this error
  • I called my bank and they assured me there is no alert or other freeze on the card
  • I made a successful online purchase elsewhere using the same card less than 30 minutes after this error

Any help would be appreciated.

I would try restarting the Xbox or waiting a bit, the server may have been a bit overloaded, or your console may have just decided to be a bit finicky.

Hey guys! Sorry about this. It sounds pretty annoying. It may be because of the high volume of downloads happening at this time.

I would suggest you start by clearing your Xbox 360 system cache.

If that doesn't help, I would suggest you try initiating the download from xbox.com.

Same here - I am only using Xbox.com as I am not at home. I will try from my Xbox when I get home.

Maybe i have the right answer for this error.

I wiil be honest; I am a brazilian usin US acount (the microsft know that because my real phone and e-mail adress stay in the register).

I tried to use that promotion of Assassin´s Creed and of the 4 games 3 I buy it, but the first assasssin´s Creed all the ways i tried to buy by website lauched exactly the same error, when i tried in 360 console they send me a diferent mensage is this exatily words: "este conteúdo não está disponível para sua região" = in english and in short words = IP BLOCKED!!!

If you use your acount and live in region outside of United States you will not download the game because it´s a one (of much games on demand games)have a IP block.

If you use your acount in USA, the problem is another one, and the answer i don´t know.

Im getting the same error...I tried every possible way to buy content and nothing works and I am trying to use MS points. Funny thing is that the points seems to work on Zune but not Xbox Live or Xbox.com. I wanted to get a few stuff on sale but apparently I got screwed.  

Even support cant figure it out.

This is ridiculous and annoying. I seriously thinking of moving away from XBL next gen.
