Xbox, the "Family Friendly" console.

Remember Xbox Live, when Halo 2 and CBFD roamed free?

When Splinter Cell was a hoot? (Yeah i said hoot. STFW 0.o)

.

All i'm saying is, unlike the Anon threats, the phasing of M$P.

All this is phooey, and pure hogwash to what M$ is doing already.

.

Xbox used to be a "Underground Spot" for Gamers near and far to play.

I spent many of my Weekends Capturing Flags, and 4SBr's on Halo 2.

Lately, they've changed Xbox for the worse so it seems.

.

I love change as much as the next guy, but they've seem to have gone too far.

They've completely started to make it a kiddy console. The integration of a "FF Dashboard"

They've gone so far as to even take out "Weapons, and Weapon-like Objects" from Avatar Marketplace"

.

Go ahead, check. Gears of War 3 lost their Chainsaw Lancers and Hammerbursts.

.

The possibility of having a Spartan with a Br.

A BF3 solider with a Support class (i have no accurate description, sorry)

a Milita Guerrilla with some CoD weapon.

Mass Effect's Commander Shepard with his trusty M-8 **** rifle.

.

I'm not just talking about weapons, but where will this lead to?

.

I miss things being the way they used to be..

FF Dashboard? Enlighten me?

Family Friendly.

It's an option. But still annoying nonetheless.

.

It shows pretty pictures and shiny objects.

Colorful games, and maybe even a video where they talk down to you.

.

Developers think were all "sippy-cup drinking 5 year olds"

who can't hold a controller the right way without drooling on it first.

Compared to the Wii the 360 is like hardcore porn. It's hard to blame MS for trying to appeal to the family market but to say they've gone overboard is a stretch.

Your upset they're making the family friendly avatars, more family friendly?

Overboard, no.

But what will happen next?

No, not the avatar props.

I meant that they have to take away such things,

in order to appeal to parents and their tweens.

Avatars were never meant for any violence what so ever. Look at the avatars, do they look blood thursty to you? They look like someone you would find off a children's game. Expect this kind of thing to happen. They just avatars anyways.

Agreed. But aren't avatars supposed to be a

"expression" of your gamer "individuality"?

Blood Thirsty, Ravenous, Ruthless, and maybe even Cynical

are some of the feeling i want to put through with my Avatar.

That's what the avatars are there for, for the "tweens".

Parents won't like seeing mean looking avatars. It could give children a bad influence on their health.
