Xbox Original Games

So my friend  downloaded "Halo 1: Combat Evolved" a couple days ago and when he plays he gets an error saying he needs to switch to 50hz. Now on one of the older dashboards this feature to change from 60hz to 50hz was possible but now it is not. So that means he has just wasted 1200msp.  He asked me if i knew what he should do, i said to go on these forums but he really doesnt want to make a big fuss of this issue and i get that but i still think the community should be warned that thier is items on the marketplace which are being sold that are incompatible with our xbox's. Im asuming this issue is happening which a nuber of xbox original titles and i think microsoft really should take these items off the marketplace.

I would suggest calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX. You might be able to get more Microsoft Points, but also this was more of a complaint then a question.

I also suggest calling 1-800-4my-xbox and have them walk you through the issue. They may be able to refund his points but on that I am not too sure.

he says he doesnt want to make a big deal about it but i posted this mainly just to warn the community and let M$ know that they are selling incompatible products

i cant take a picture of this as i am in the fall dashboard beta and it states i cannot take any screenshots of any of the dashboard and i plan to follow those rules. But i can ask him to take a picture and send it to me?

Does your friend have a PAL console - i.e are you and your friend in Europe?  If the answer is yes, is he trying to play said game using VGA?
