Xbox One Won't find Non-HD Channels

When I had my xbox one connected to my At&t Uverse box and would say something like "Xbox go to NBC (or the affiliates name)" it would always go to the HD channel.

The problem is we are not subscribed to the HD services of our cable company.

How do I make it so the OneGuide actually goes to the 'Regular' channels and not the HD ones?

thanks

You can change the One Guide in Settings to hide duplicate SD/HD channels, show HD channels only, or show all. Double check how you have this setup.

I have looked at that and even with SD/HD Channels highlighted it still goes straight to the HD Channels.  One time when I said 'Xbox watch ESPN' it went to the regular ESPN channel.

But anything like Watch USA, or Discovery Channel, even NBC or ABC...just goes straight to the 1000s (HD Channels on AT&T Uverse)

On my Uverse it usually freezes on SD channels for a moment so I have them hidden. However it will still go to SD nickeloden by name.

Same issue, Same service. AT&T.

I spoke to an Xbox ambassador and he said you can hide HD channels, but couldn't walk me through it, and I didn't get any closer. I'm not subscribed to HD channels, so for it's a remote until they update it.

Hiding the HD Channels is not to hard just time consuming.  Menu>Options (all the way to the right)> Channel settings I think.

Have to scroll down and I believe uncheck all the channels you want to hide...DONT FORGET TO SAVE after you uncheck all of them.

I have not tried doing this myself as I have a hard time believing that Xbox will 'Default' to the regular channels if the HD ones are blocked.
