Xbox One suddenly stopped IR blasting TV and cable box Help me XB1 kenobi you're my only hope

My Xbox One had been working fine and then all of a sudden it stopped interacting with my TV tuner and cable box. It neither turns them on or off. When I attempt to "Resume TV" or engage the TV settings through the XB1 settings, it times out and says that "For some reason TV took too long to start. (0x8027025a). If I turn on the TV manually and bypass the XB1 it and my cable work fine. I can also pay games and watch video on the XB1 without a problem. This happened once before but self corrected before I could complain. Thus time it's been going on for a day. Please help.

You should be able to fix this error by either unplugging the console for 10 seconds or holding the power button for 8 seconds until it shuts down.

Let me know if either of those things works for you.

I'm having the same issue AND the NFL app doesn't work. It just shows the blue NFL screen for about a second and goes back to the home screen with the blue NFL as the main app but just sits there.

Total Ownership,

Try the recommendation that onyx has made. This process is known as power cycling and will clear the cache and reset the network card, which may resolve your issue as well.

Yeah I tried it yesterday and it worked. Still have the issue with Comcast and the NFL app. They need to get this sorted ASAP. One of the main things I was looking for doesn't work. I'm not happy about that at all.

Total Ownership,

That sounds like a failed download/install of the app. I would recommend uninstalling the app. Going wired, and re-download the app. It appears that it could be a corrupted install. For the NFL app, it may be cable provider (or TV package) dependent,  there may be something else I am missing and just don't know off-hand. There may be a different place on the forums for Apps: forums.xbox.com/.../4274.aspx that may have more info for you.

-Cheers
