Xbox One Games - State/Province Problem

Hi,

I am trying to enter my credit card information but I cannot choose a province and only get all the states to choose from. How can I get the option to choose a province?

Is there an option to change the country?  If you don't have an option to choose a province then the country must be set to the States.

I tried every button and could not get it to change. I entered my Canadian city and Canadian postal code but because the state was wrong I could not add my credit card. Such a weird problem.

Hey there dogtagmonkey33!

Try this:

Go to Settings > System > Language & Location and check the Location in the middle and see if it has you as Canada.  If not, you should be able to change your region setting.  

Once you make the change, you will need to restart your Xbox.

Let us know how it works out.

having same problem - how can this be accomplished on pc ? plus why did xbox live not save previous location for renewal of card ??

I wish someone would post something useful as to why the state/Province list on PC only has states. There are no provinces listed at all.

please check the region of your account at commerce.microsoft.com

if it isnt your region (newly created account from us for example) you will have to wait the 90days to migrate the account

I am currently having this exact problem with trying to sign up for another 12 months of Gold. I visited commerce.microsoft.com and it says that my account is a CA - Personal Account. With CAD as my currency but I am unable to choose my Province as the only options in the State/Province drop down list are States only.

There is also no option to choose your country. Makes signing up for Xbox LIVE Gold impossible unless you live in the U.S. or go out and buy a redeemable code. Inconvenience at it's best.
