xbox one enters duplicate digits when changing channels (samsung OTA tv tuner)

I have a samsung tv tuner box w/ hdmi out running into my x1 the box is a dtb h260f.  if I tell the one guide to go to chanel 6-1, for example...it will enter the 6 twice, then the two twice.  so it will end up telling it to go to channel 66, then 11....instead of 6 -1.

odd problem.  I tried the IR delay settings (all of them) and that didn't do anything.

Hi Master Splief,

This is a rare issue that I saw this issue once before with a Samsung device and it was due to an incorrect identification of the device.  Please try the following 1st make sure the Kinect is not really far away or right in front of the IR receiver for the device you are blasting too. This can result in interference and IR reflections, then go into TV Settings and select Troubleshooting and Reset TV to rerun the setup and make sure it is properly detecting your devices. Having the wrong device selected can also cause these issues.

tried both.  no dice.  I also never got the xbox to control the power of the device during setup.  should I just experiment with a bunch of different placements of the samsung ota tuner?

anything else I can try?  I really don't want to buy a new OTA box...and I'm not buying into cable's monopolistic scams.

Master Splief - 3 things:

1) Can you try going to Live TV troubleshooting and changing the IR speed?

2) Where is you Kinect positioned?

3) I have cable, but one thing I did is pick up a TiVo HD off of craigslist for $35, then I got a 2nd CableCard from Comcast (free, first was $2). I'm paying Comcast, but I'm paying $20-30 less than I would if I had paid for a cable box+HD service. Now I get HD channels and just don't bother paying for the TiVo subscription.
