Xbox One DVR will not record

Guys, 

My xbox one dvr will not work, i can not record via any method, when i go to xbox game dvr and start clip i get an error saying the xbox one can not record that, any suggestions, to re cap, i can record ANY footage or anything with xbox one dvr, thanks.

I have the same problem. GameDVR wont work, not will 'record that'...

You can only record gameplay, ie when playing a game.



Also you don't need to start a recording through Game DVR, you only need to pick End Clip & select 5 minutes.



Also make sure you have Game DVR enabled in Setting > preferences > enable the DVR function.

This just worked for me. Making sure the settings are correct (ie. allow game dvr to record) hold the xbox button on the console down until it powers of, then uplug for at least one full minute. Plug back in and turn on. Play a game and try it out. I hope it works for everyone else as well.

As stated above turn off system/power down/ then unplug from wall socket or power strip for one minute for error code 0x82323012

My game dvr has not worked once since i got it and i have tried this trick suggested above without success and i dont have a kinect but i know how the theory goes with manuel recording and to top it off the error code that i get aparrently has something to do with ISP and xbox store and apps. Go figure. 0x80004005
