XBox One and Samsung SMT-H3270 (Time Warner)

I'm currently unable to use Xbox One's OneGuide with my Time Warner Cable provided Samsung SMT-H3270 cable box/DVR.

After connecting the cable box (STB) to my Xbox and going through the OneGuide setup, controls on the STB will freeze.  Eventually I'll need to unplug and plug back in he STB in order to get control.  The remote becomes unresponsive.  Changing channels through OneGuide worked though. Since I need the STB remote to control the DVR, not having the remote work is not an option.

I found a similar forum post at that suggested to change the STB display to be 720p only (instead of the defaults of 480i, 720p, and 1080i), however that did not work for me.  I restarted the Xbox One (by holding down the power for a few seconds) and restarted the STB (unplugged for about 1 minute before plugging back in).

Everything worked fine with the STB until I started OneGuide and tried to change a channel.  Once that happened, the STB became very unresponsive and eventually froze.  I've had to resort at this point to disconnecting the STB input from the TV and routing directly to my receiver/soundbar.  In that setup, the STB works like it did before and the Xbox One seems to work as well (although now without the OneGuide feature I really wanted to like).  :(

Any help on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.  I'll be happy to send whatever logs or anything that can help in Microsoft fixing this problem.

Hey Brutus,

Does this happen on all channel changes, or only on a resolution change?

Can you try setting your Samsung box to Stereo PCM audio instead of Dolby/Surround?

I have the same dvr box and have the same problem. Changing audio encoding does not fix it for me, either. Very annoying, not to be able to use One Guide, after investing in the Xbox One. I see a setting option for entering a 4 digit remote code. Would this help?

How quickly can we find a fix for this?

I'm having a similar issue with the same Samsung box. My problem resolves around getting the Xbox One to power up the DVR to complete the OneGuide set-up. Anyone have any info on this?
