Xbox no longer turns on TV

For about a week my Xbox no longer turns on my TV when saying "Xbox On" or even turning on the Xbox manually. The receiver turns on, the Xbox turns on, but not the actual TV. The TV will turn off when I say "Xbox Turn Off" so it's very strange. I've reset the TV settings and the "Mute" test it sends works perfect.

I recently cancelled my cable and removed the box around the same time as the 2/15 update so I'm not sure which actually caused the problems.

Any thoughts? I need to figure this out so my wife gets off my case. :)

Have you tried setting your xbox back to factory default. It can be a pain but i had a similar situation with mine.

Hold the power button in on the XBOX and reboot it.  I have to do this about once every two weeks.  They're working on a solution.

I have this same problem. It seems to have started after the February patch. No matter now I turn the xbox on it never turns the TV on. However, when I turn off the xbox it turns off the tv fine. I've checked my settings, even reset my settings to make sure it's configured properly. Turn devices on is checked.

Sadly I am having the same issue. My TV will not turn on or off when issuing voice commands. It used to work just fine, but now I'm back to using my TV remote for controlling the power. Hope they rectify whatever they did that altered it.

Let me know the make & model of your TVs and if you have both the "turn on" and "turn off" boxes checked in Live TV power settings?

Have you tried going through setup again?

Hi. These issues seem to coincide with the updates for me. I just have to unplug the XBOX One and replug in and restart it to power cycle it back on. Works every time. Doesn't happen enough that it bothers me but I'm sure Microsoft will have this fixed in the future. As Studbucket 33 stated, obviously the guys are concerned and want the best for their gamers.
