Xbox money unable to spend?

Just recently, today, I checked my balance, I have money on xbox account, But instead it's saying i have 0 points, and when I go to buy something, It won't let me cause it's using the "0 points" instead of money on the account...

To clarify,  upon purchase Have you tried to change payment method to the Microsoft account which is where your money is now stored?

i'm also having this issue.  wont let me select the balance as a payment option on xbox console

While on the Xbox console you need to add a new payment option and click Confirm Purchase. You will receive a message stating "Would you like to use $X.XX in your Microsoft Account and charge the rest to your card?"  Just click Yes and only the difference will be charged to your card. If you click No or hit Back, the full amount will be charged to your card.

I redeemed a couple of cards and it adds up to $40 but it won't let me use it as a payment option.

I have the same exact problem.  It worked since I bought the One, but now nothing, my money is just sitting there........

The website does not allow you to use your MS money yet. Hopefully in the future it will become available. You must use your console for the time being.
