Windows xp media center w/xbox 360 not working.....

I'm having troubles connecting my 360 to my windows xp computer. I've done it in the past, but now when I go to xbox.com/pcsetup it just shows a support page and vista and windows 7 have instructions. Why? Can't we xp users connect like we used to?

I've tried that link before I posted. I'm not sure what to do cause I guess my windows media center is already updated with rollup 2 for xp and when I try re-downloading it and running the update, it comes up with an error message and it automatically shuts down and restarts. So i'm not sure what to do. I test the connection on my 360 to see if it's connected to the pc and it says it is. And I enabled sharing between windows media player and my 360 device so there shouldn't be a problem there. Any other ideas?

Try disabling all PC/Xbox connections, then reboot both, and pair them up again.

Hello sn1q3rs eye,

There's a handy link that we have posted here in the forums for getting your PC and Xbox 360 to "shake hands".  The post is Streaming Media from your PC to your Xbox 360.

There are steps there for XP Media Center that may help you out.  Let us know.  Thanks!

I've tried all of this and it is still not working! And xbox.com/pcsetup dosn't give you any instructions....just updates for your existing Windows Media Center and instructions ONLY FOR windows vista, 7, and 8. I remember doing this in the past with the 360 and there used to be a code that I would enter. Now, that section is nowhere to be seen.  Is xp not supported? This is really frustrating. The ps3 is easier to configure than this.

Hi I'm having a similar issue setting up my 360 to link with my pc media files:

On the media sharing authorisation window the 360 just isn't showing.

I'm running xp with wmc11, all updated as far as I know, anyone have any suggestions of how I could fix this
