We're excited to announce that we've fully migrated the Xbox Forums to their new home, here on the Microsoft Community forums!
As of today, going to forums.xbox.com will redirect you here to the Xbox area of the Community forums. We've moved all of your existing threads over so you can continue and start conversations with the new forums experience.
We sincerely appreciate the feedback you have provided over this transition and can't wait for you to check out the new Xbox Forums!
Hello, I presume you mean "Internet Explorer". You cant access Windows Explorer on your console but you can access Windows Media Centre on your console which does not require gold membership. The reason most Xbox Services/Apps like Internet Explorer require
gold is because of all that is provided. The one subscription gets you access to Online Play, Party/Video Chat, Exclusive Demos and the huge range of Apps available (some require additional subscriptions). The reason members pay is so they get a good service
with easy access, if all this was free most of it probably wouldn't exist! So I hope this helps and if you need to know anything else let us know! Thanks :)
