why doesn't assassin pro have a proper counter?

an i know recon pro is like a counter but its not that effective as a lot of players would like i feel they should've put assassin pro in the first perk with sleight of hand or the third perk with stalker pro i think that would have limited the use of it, a lot of players use it because its no aggressive enough counter towards it, what yall think

Most people use it because it has been the most used perk since stopping power was removed.  I doubt having a better counter for it would decrease the usage very much.

People have become dependant on Assassin due to the spam of Advanced/UAV's. I do think Recon Pro paired with Sitrep Pro gives it a run for it's money, especially with not so hot players that don't use a headset.

I've noticed on MW2 a lot more people use Cold Blooded now, which is probably down to people not having to worry about being detected by UAV's in MW3. So their playstyle has changed as to not having to be so aware of being on the radar.

there is a counter for it,YOUR EYES! stop staring at the mini map all the time and you will see much more. i personally like to use assassin pro most of the time because i know most people rely so heavily on the mini maps.

but if u really need your little map with the cute red dots and arrows telling you where to go, use a Recon Drone+Advanced UAV combo u can tag anyone on the other team and they will show up on your map. also i believe using Recon Pro in the first slot along with some flash/concussion grenades can help.

Typical noob response.  And by the way you dont use Assassin pro most of the time, you use it every time as it is on all of your classes.  Not really working for you though, huh? You lose 75% of your games.  Maybe if you were not so worried about being seen you would actually play the objective and win some games.....

well it was like the other day sharp when we partied up and the whole enemy team used assassin we destroyed them and won so sometimes it really does not matter if your on the mini map or not i only use assassin in search because your team counts on you to stay alive in games with a respawn like tdm i rather use quickdraw or hardline

And that sounds like a typical butthurt ditchaser response to his typical noob response.

    Anyhow ...... abck on topic.

Its not really tha the 2nd tier perks themselves , as for what they have always been for arent good perks. By prioncipal, they are all competetive in that category.

But ............ the way I see it is that the things the perks are there to counter are just crappy in this game.

Take blast shield for example. Its an awesome perk ................ in every other cod I've played it would be useful. But they nerfed the explosives so much that its kind of a waste. I hardly ever get killed by explosives even without it.

Overkill ...... another perk I've always liked. I loved running around in WaW with my m1 garand with a thompson backup, and in mw2 I could Start out with a ump to get me to a good sniping spot where I could switch classes. But when you can swap to akimbo fmgs or skorpions, why bother wasting a perk for a good backup.

Hardline is good .......... one less kill per ksr is a good perk in theory, but with all the uav spam I've found that whether I'm running, camping or sniping, most of the times I can average 2 more kills with assasin than I can with hardline. Now with hardline pro on a team match thats ok. But in something like ffa, or running support package, or specialist package, that limits the need for hardline.

Quick draw is good. I run it frequently, and I'd say it might not be the best comparison in theory, but in practice its great.   I've also noticed this is a key perk for qsers. thats another reason though for using assasin. These guy can pretty much play asteroids, just spinning their little triangle around one-shotting everyone while it takes a good spray to kill them.. But using assasin and a thermal scope give a nice edge on them so maybe at least I can get a couple shots in before they shoot me.

Anyhoooow ........... what I have found myself doing is making dublicate or very similar classes swapping only the second perk. I run hardline or qd until the spy planes start cluttering the sky then I switch to assasin.. This also keeps the enemy confused. At first they think their uavs are trusty enough to rely on, then suddenly one of there normal targets disappears.

i said it before and i'll say it again, stats mean very little in a CoD game with all the glitches, lag, and cheaters around it's hard to get a fair match all the time. anyone who has played with me will tell u i always play the objective. but if u want to be a little Elite stat hore how about u check to see where I finish complete matches, 95% i'm in the top 3 in the entire game my final scores will show i don't just run around looking for kills and that i actually help my team out. if u are gonna come at me with some bs come correct

Your SPM in domination is 182.  If thats good enough to finish in the top 3 i want to get in some of your games.

4% .......... 40% ................ doesnt matter.  They dont cry any less when they get killed by an empty spot on their minimap.

Actually, the 4% seems to make them cry all the more.

I dont win much, but I sure can *&#$ it up for the guy who thinks he's gonna.
