Wheres the quote? Am I missing something?

Just having a look at these new forums.  On a few posts I have made, I have noticed that I only have a reply button? Is there another way to quote previous posts? It makes discussion and the forums themselves much duller without that feature. Hope im wrong, can anyone help me out?

To quote someone use the Rick Formatting link then the Quote link  on the top left hand side.

I see, thanks. Why have they made it more complicated? What was wrong with the quote button??

[/quote]It's not much more complicated, the quote system probably came with the forum package...

I just think that people sometimes see a post then think, yes ill reply to that comment. I agree its not massively complicated, but its not glaringly obvious either.  New visitors may be put off contributing and thats a shame. They may just want to comment, not ask how to. I dunno, just seems like an unecessary change to me.

Agreed. I was also looking for the quote function ever since I migrated to this new forum - until I happened to chance upon the solution in a previous post.
