Whats the quickest way to get some coin??

Runnin' low on dough...  and want to buy my first house!   I'm tired of renting.  :-)

Anyway, I just bought a nice frost bow and now I'm under 1000.  Lost my previous followers, so ALL the crap they carried for me that I wanted to sell when we got back from shore leave is with them.  So I'm just looking for a play to store my junk.  What do you all think is the quickest / best way to make some fast money?

Steal!!!

The transmutation spell allows you to convert iron ore to silver ore to gold ore. I usually find that pretty early in the game by killing bandits at Halting Stream Camp.  Joining the Thieves Guild allows you to get some nice armor, outfits, perks and money. But, for steady income, I build up my smithing. enchanting and speech skills as quickly as possible, and then make a ton of money producing, upgrading, enchanting and selling weapons and armor. Same can be said for alchemy and selling potions.

Loot the vendors chests under Whiterun, Solitude, Windhelm, Dawnstar and Markarth (I got under Riften, just couldn't find any chests). If your dumb, then here: lmgtfy.com

Like Pepsi said, find the Transmute Iron Ore spell. It is in a huge Iron Mine. After you Transmute all your ore, go to a smelter and make Gold Ingots. Then Smith some Jewlery to make some serious cash. It was great for my Mage. Magi have more trouble making money because their faction does not pay you,

Not the fastest way, but a Potion(Enchanting) - Enchanted Item(Alchemy) Loop can have unprecedented effects. You can make uber powerful items... and sell them for a solid price.

Probably not very possible early in the game, but the Banish enchantment, even with petty soul gems, makes even the cheapest weapons extremely valuable. From an iron dagger being worth ~10 gold to ~1300 once enchanted.

On my current character (a Breton Cleric), I got really lucky and got this enchantment around level 20 or so.  Now I pick up every weapon I come across and enchant them with Banish.

Quickest way to get coin? Well I did some things in a Solitude back alley that im not proud of.

I know the Thieves Guild fence, Tomalia in the Ragged Flagon, often sells weapons with the Banish enchantment, but I'm not sure how early on she'll start to have them. Even if they're extremely expensive to buy from her, it's one serious investment.
