What they SHOULD have done

It would have been great if Treyarch implemented a feature in the MP where you could choose if you wanted to join games in progress or not. If you turned it off, it would slow down your match making obviously but you could only join lobbies while they are in the pre-game lobby. Or, if that took too long, let us host our own lobbies. I would love to see this in future CoDs.

Dangerous suggestion. Makes boosting 100x easier to organize.

Anyway, I wish we could have such an option to not join games in progress.

But that won't happen.

So I just dashboard before the game even loads (not after, too late then); doesn't hurt anything as I was never in the game and somebody else can take my place.

in that case, they should redo the ranking system to fit halo, since each match actually "matters". I think everyone would enable that feature, i mean... why not?

Didn't the first CoD have this?

With the number of people who hate joining in progress, we'd constantly wind up with 1 or 2 vs 6 matches.

You can host your own lobby any time you want .its just not counted as a ranked match , for reasons already meantioned.

I dont agree because when people quit, no one would ever join the game and then we would have 6 vs 1 all the time
I still think that the majority of Cod players would keep join in progress on. Unlike us here, there are plenty of people out there that just don't care.

How about when you join a game in progress, winning or losing, the win/loss does not count for/against you, but experience, contracts, total kills can still be earned? 9 times out of 10 the game in progress that I join is always losing, but I stick it out anyway for the experience. Backing out is already pointless since it will be a loss anyway.
I didn't realize you could dashboard during the map loading and not get a loss. I'll start doing that (y). I'd say that's probably 30 percent of my losses- joining games in progress.
