Weird freeze every so often

Recently I've been noticing that my xbox keeps freezing for no reason, I've cleared the system cache that has done nothing. I'm using a wireless mic to talk to my mates, and only seems to freeze when im playing online or talking. Something it can occur when I just turn my xbox on.

The whole xbox freezes but the audio carries on, I've looked at my discs, not even a scratch on it since some are brand new. This happens with installed games as well as XBLA games too.

I can't think of anything else that is the problem, it's only happened since the last xbox dashboard update.

Please help since this is irritating and making it very hard to play the games I like

OP, are you using a wireless mic?

I have the same issue and I found out it is the mic that is causing it. Every time you turn your mic on and when it's in the process of syncing up with the Xbox, the entire box freezes, including Live for like a second.

There are a few ambassadors who think it's the user and not the Xbox, THEY ARE WRONG!. This started happening right after the last update. It has nothing to do with connection, cache, etc. It's on MS's side.
