mine just stared doing the same thing, it wouldnt play ANY disks NEW games, dvd old games original or 360 disks, i took it in to the place i bought it they said they think it has a "update" that doesnt work well with the early 360's ( the while ones
without internal wifi) so 2 things need to happen maybe 3,
1. identify what update causes the problem
2. possibly fix the update for the older 360's , Maybe release a fix strickly for the 1st gen 360's
i paid 130.00 cash used form a local game store they offered my 5.00 for it as a part machine! luckly i was still under warranty so im gettting a replacement one today however i need to know what update(s) to avoid so the same thing doesnt happen
again , i personally thought it was adefective or broken dvd drive laser, but the "experts" here insist its a BAD UPDATE... I tried clearing the cache powering dow n the un it wait 30 minutes and start back up and try again, no luck....
