Unable to stream any video app

Hi there, 

In the last few weeks I have been unable to stream any of my video apps. Such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Sky Go. It will play for a few seconds and then lock up the xbox meaning i have to switch off and then on again to reset. 

I have tried switching to a wired connection, changing HDMI ports on the back of the TV, Uninstalled the apps and then re-installed. Formatted the hard disk and nothing seems to work. I still get the same result. 

I do not think it is an internet provider issue as I am able to successfully watch these apps on my phone.

Does anyone have any further ideas?

Try clearing the console's cache

support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

If that doesn't work, try removing the hard drive and reinstalling the app without it in.  If it works then the issue may lay with your hard drive.

If the console still freezes up then you may need to send it in for repairs.

Had already tried clearing the cache.

Will try removing the HDD option
