TV App as of this morning (Dec 6th) erroring and not working

As of this morning my TV app refused to respond. I had to disconnect the cable box and plug it directly into the TV. Is anyone else having this issue?

I have not tried a hard restart yet, but I would like clarification as to if this is a software/cloud issue or not. Not exactly acceptable as TV should always work, I can't be getting phone calls from my girlfriend wondering why the TV isn't working while I'm at work.

lol same think happed to me this morning, but it was my wife saying she couldn't get the news on....good morning to me yah! It wasn't until this after I got home from work that I was able to fix it. I had to pull the power out and let it sit for 30 sec. shutting down just seemed to put it to sleep mode. After pulling the plug for 30 it seems ok now. maybe that's what I should have done after the update yesterday.
