Trouble Downloading Games on Demand Title

Hello,

I've been having an issue for the past couple days and was hoping someone could help me figure it out.

I recently purchased Sleeping Dogs from Games on Demand and it appears to get stuck at the 24% mark when downloading. A message shortly pops up telling me that the game could not download. I've tried the recommended steps of deleting the incomplete file from the harddrive and clearing the system cache but the download still continues to get stuck at the same spot. My xbox is wired connect and all my NAT ports are open. I also have plenty of storage left on my harddrive for it to fully download. I'd like to add that the region of my account and where I live are exactly the same (Canada).

Here's the picture of the results from SpeedTest. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply but that doesn't solve the issue. I actually watched the download this time and I noticed that the download bar flickers between 0 and 24% complete before the message pops up telling me the game could not be downloaded. I ruled out my internet connection being at fault because I've downloaded another game without any problems.

Bump. Anyone else have an idea on how to fix this because I believe I have pretty much tried everything possible. I'm thinking of just calling support again to try to get a refund.

Sorry for the double post but like I said, I dont think  my internet connection is the problem because I just downloaded another game fully off of Games on Demand right now without any issues.

I dont think you know how the marketplace works

ok some content xan be region restricted

and most arent it depends on the content

there is no master list

thats why some people can  download content from another region without issues

however that doesnt apply tp all content thats why some may or may not download correctly

you can try a different storage option like usb drive etc

sometimesits simple as a gateway resolvI

I might also suggest a different approach.

Do you have a USB Flash Drive, 4GB-32GB in size? Then

  • reformat it as an Xbox Memory Unit,
  • power down,
  • remove the hard drive,
  • power up with the Memory Unit in place,
  • download your profile, then
  • download the content to the memory unit.

Sometimes there's corruption on a hard drive's logical structure that causes it to hang at a specific point, so by using the Memory Unit, we can verify whether or not there's a hard drive glitch.
