Tips to reduce lag?

Hi all, got a bit of a problem you may be able to help with.

I do a lot of gaming on Forza Motorsport 4, and participate in a club/league that holds 16 player races every week. For ages I was unable to connect to these due to some Internet problems on my end, but after getting a router and static IP sorted I can join now.

The problem is though, my connection is a little laggy. When people are racing against me my car will occasionally "jump" or "dance" around, which could potentially cause crashes and ruin everybody's night. Last night for example I lost control of the car mid corner on the first lap, and a lag spike caused a massive crash taking out about 6 other drivers.

Obviously that's not cool, so I'm looking for any ways that I can reduce or eliminate my lag entirely.

Some basic info:
* Wired Connection
* Router: TP-Link WR740N
* Older, non-slim Xbox 360
* Speedtest (nearest server): http://www.speedtest.net/result/1837484629.png
* Pingtest (nearest server): http://www.pingtest.net/result/59043507.png
* Speedtest (to UK, were most of the club is): http://www.speedtest.net/result/1837489722.png

I've done some Googling around and done most of the standard recommendations (wired connection, make sure the Xbox is the only thing taking up bandwidth etc.) but the lag's still there.

If any of you guys could help out that'd be fantastic.
