THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF LIBERTY CITY

The LCPD, more specifically known as "The Police Department of Liberty City" is a role-playing police clan on "Grand Theft Auto IV". We operate on the original. Here is how it works, keep in mind. We do this with the help of nothing but a website, we use no source of modding of any type. Basically, to get into a game, you will be required by clan "law" (rules) to RSVP. You will do this by going over to the "RSVP LIST" on the top right and then clicking on the corresponding date and then following the instructions to the exact point. In order for your registration to be valid, you will need to follow the instructions to the "T". Once you RSVP, you will just wait for the time of the game. At this time, you will be invited to the lobby of the game where you will patiently wait for the Commissioner to get everyone into the game and brief you. This will contain anything from, the island we are playing today to what we hope to expect from this game or what we did not like about the

last game as well as explaining the rules to any new members. It is important to your membership and recommendation, that you do not interrupt the Commissioner while he is talking. Once you are in the game, you will have approximately five minutes, to get to the point on the map you want without any consequences of getting in trouble for speeding or reckless driving. However, this is not a five minute pass to do whatever you want. If you are where you want to be, act as if the game has already started and wait for everyone else to get situated. These five minutes is mainly for the police to get their equipment and to get anything extra set-up. Okay, at this point the game has pretty much already started. You will follow all the American traffic laws, whether you think Americans are stupid or what. We don't care, rules are rules. Contrary to popular belief, rules are not meant to be bent or broken. They are there for you to follow and failure to do so will get you expelled from the Department. Anyways, you will follow all the traffic laws. Depending on the crime, you will get fined, arrested or warned. However, if it is a crime you are consistent with or reckless with, you will get an "Official Warning". Three of these "O.W.'s" will get you banned from the clan for a certain amount of time, (day, week, month, etc.) Now, in the RSVP list you will have chosen a job if you filled out the form correctly. This is the job you will be expected to do in the game, you are solely responsible for the realism of our clan. If you are not doing your job or whatever, you are not bringing anything new or real to the clan and therefore not making the game exciting for anybody new and then the clan would ultimately fail. So, if you want to just drive around and follow the rules great. But, it would be one hundred thousand times better if you were doing something "constructive". The game will usually go on for about an hour or so, after this it will be announced the game has ended and the Commissioner will leave the game. Then, everything will be added to the site. (Crimes, Warnings, Bans, etc.)

Hey man. It's not cool to post the same thing over and over.. its just flooding the forums site and the Moderators won't like it. I'm Just trying to steer you clear out of trouble. Just keep in mind that these forums are always watched upon. So please don't post the same information but under a different title.

-----Thank You.

Spamming up the forums man, chill out.

The only reason I am spamming is because everyone else is spamming and knocking my thread down, especially rival police clans who do not like me or my clan. As soon as they see "LCPD" they post like an M-effer. But, this is the last post on the forums, I have recruitment threads on 20 different gaming sites now, thanks for the lookout Pyro.

Too bad it won't matter once bigger, better games come out, such as Driver: San Francisco and the soon-to-be-released GTA V, which everyone will go to after it's been released so you are somewhat wasting your time with a GTA IV clan still IMO.

Not bad; however, you are following the same format as other clans. There is nothing really that different about yours. A warning is supposed to be a warning for a member to straighten up; making it "official" still doesn't change the fact that it's a regualr warning. You are using the context wrong. RSVPS: been there done that. NEXT! You are more or less doing a police/roleplay clan. Do not take this post the wrong way; I'm just giving an honest review of what you provided.

No, no. LegendOfGta, here we go AGAIN, for the third time.

First: We don't follow the format or layout of other clans, we were one of the first police clans on Xbox LIVE, if anything. They follow OUR format.

Second: There ARE in fact two different warnings you can recieve, one type of warning sticks and the other only sticks until the end of a Patrol. "Police Warnings" and "Official Warnings" Can you guess which is which?

Third: Again, we were one of the first clans on Grand Theft Auto IV. We aren't going to shut down just because more popular games are coming out, when "Grand Theft Auto V" is released, (Which I will have ore-ordered) All I have to do is pick it up the day it comes out, change the name of the clan from "The Police Department of Liberty City" to "The Police Department of (Insert City Here) and then review the modes in THAT game and then make a few adjustments. It's not like a new popular game is going to be the end of police clans, is just gives us the opportunity to expand. Unfortunately, Red Dead Redemption didn't give us that opportunity.  So, we as all other GTA fans hold high hopes for the  next "Grand Theft Auto". Wasting our time? Please. Just because you tried to run a clan and failed, does not mean everyone else is wasting there time. Your "Honest" review, is based off of a personal emotion, therefore making it... in the eyes of an official, invalid.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE LCPD AND MOST OTHER POLICE CLANS:

- We are in-discriminatory.

- We allow all sexes of all ages into our clan and believe everyone deserves the equal opportunity.

- We have the most options all in one place. Such as, the ability to purchase a Driver's License, Commercial License, Industrial License and a specialized emergency service worker license referred to as the OPCL. We allow you to have jobs in out patrols, which pay you virtual money based off of the group the job is located, with the money, you can purchase vehicles, land and buildings that are ALL listed on the site.

- All of our police information from our codes to our rules of engagement are strictly based off of a REAL police Departments.

- We befriend our members, however still have it firmly seared into our brains where that friendly/professional line is. In other words, there is no favoritism when it comes to handling official clan problems that involve complaints from members or other parties, all parties of all sexes and ages are handled fairly and without discrimination.

- We are ALWAYS open to new ideas from our members and will consider every possible way to adapt the idea into a working system for our patrols and clan.

Plus, the RSVP is a system that fairly decides who gets to join a game and who doesn't. As well all know, only 16 players are allowed into a "Grand Theft Auto IV" match. So, how do you fairly decide who gets to join when you have over 40 members? Like we once did. You make them "sign up" for it. Those who really want to join and care about the game, (the kind of members, we really want.) will RSVP and get a fair invite to the game. (Obviously, the first 15 get invites.)

What are you talking about? "The Police Department of Liberty City" LOVES when new games are released with the potential to host police games on... It gives us the opportunity to expand and get a new type of player interested in the concept. One thing we love more than playing a game like the on we've managed to create, is meeting new people!

Wow. You put that much effort into a real clan? That is what reality is for. Honestly, that is the problem with the world today, too many kids are too addicted to video games. Yes, I made a clan and NO it wasn't a failure. So you were the first clan out there; so was LCES and I'm guessing you guys copy off them as well or Vice versa? Also, I wonder, how old are you HMG? Usually "kids" make these clans on Xbox. Very few of them are distinguished, mature individuals (like myself). Also, my clan is not really "a clan"; it is more or less a group of people who like to RP and act as police. I also plan to make a clan for GTA V as well. Also, I like the pretty text editing you did; real artistic.
