The end of blockbuster

I think Block Busters should have switched to an all game company and dropped the movies. I mean netflix is great and all but do they rent games out, no its only movies the easiest way for me to rent the newest games are on gamefly and i can't stream them to my 360. What do you guys think?

Blockbuster went out of business because the company could not compete with Netflix, Gamefly and now Redbox. There's no reason to make Blockbuster an "all game company".

I'm Canadian so we don't have redbox or at least one that i know of i don't like rogers cause it's too far from my house and online payments are my style block buster was the only place i rented games from cause it was everywhere and now its gone i feel like I've lost something special.

Blockbusters are still going in the uk online, they've branched out into game rentals in about the last 2 months (bit late but hey) looking through the subscription packages they do look like a good rival to love film with a wider variety of subscription options. and i like em coz they gave me 2 months free rentals for free just because i had memebrship to their store which went bust even though i never really went there ;)

Netflix said they were adding games soon but I think they're dealing with more serious problems, like getting that giant customer base back that they lost. Poor Netflix, lol.

Going all game would be the WORST thing BB could do, they are known for their movie rentals not game rentals. Their movie rentals are what yield them the most profit. BB is already struggling to stay open with Redbox, Netflix, and Gamefly dominating them, the last thing they need is to cut out the majority of their profits.

Blockbuster went bankrupt for a reason, they sucked. Now they're trying to win people over with tempting prices but I can guarantee you they'll go right back to being greedy once they get established again. Don't fall for it.

Dish Network has a deal going with BB, so they're doing something and we still have one here in town. But I don't use BB or Netflix, since I have movie channels, Starz and Cinemax and don't really watch them much either.

My local Blockbuster in England has been selling and trading games for as long as I can remember, they also have been selling game for as long as I can remember!

blockbuster was only good in the 90s and earily 00s.

Blockbuster might actually be able to make a come-back because of the poor decisions netflix has made.  Now, I am not sure this is accurate, but a buddy of mine told me that Blockbuster is offering a netflix like service, that provides streaming, dvds and video games for $90 a year.  This is as good a time as any for Blockbuster to try and make a comeback.  I still have faith that netflix will eventually get back its customer base so if any of you are into the stock market, now would be a good time to invest.
