Songs Constantly downloading, and re-downloading, and re-downloading?

I finally gave up on trying to move any of my Zune DRM music and playlists to Xbox Music and decided to start fresh. I created new playlists and moved all my .mp3 files of purchased Zune music to my newly wiped computer. However, I have pretty much only cloud content now and I can't seem to find a way to download my music and get my .mp3's into Xbox Music. It consistently says it's download 1,000+ songs, and doesn't seem to ever make progress.

What's the deal and how can I get my music to sync?

I'm also getting a lot of download errors ("Can't download, please try again"), not sure what's going on with that!
