smart glass keeps saying can't find xbox one to connect to please help!!

Everytime I try to use it, it says it can't connect.  Both devices are on the same internet, I have smartglass enabled in settings on my xbox one. Ive tried almost everything!! And I've seen many others have the same problem. Anyone know how to fix this please!!!??

Did you try to enter your IP address?

Are you using xbox smartglass or xbox one smartglass?

Yes I entered the ip address as well stil nothing. I am using the xbox one smartglass app.

Just to double-check, are you enabling WiFi on your mobile device?  At worst case, reboot your Xbox One, quit the SmartGlass app and restart it once in-game.

I'm having the exact same issue.  I've done everything I would think to do and I've tried everything suggested here.  It worked for me when I first started using it.  Now it's just not syncing...

my issue was i didn't have my WIFI on my phone on...was as simple as that, happened to me last night and i realized i wasn't connected to the network,
