Small question about subscriptions.

Why doesn't Microsoft allow us to buy the game out-right, rather then pay for a subscription, I get the idea is about the money, and a subscription would allow them to collect 9.99 a year every year, but then they allow it in games like Microsoft Bingo, and Microsoft Jackpot. I am confused as to why they would make it a bit more pressing on the consumer, rather then easier. There is a lot of us who love the game, but , come on Microsoft...

If there is a way, I'd love for someone to point me in the direction of purchasing out-right.

I would also like to know the answer to this question.  In addition, I have not been able to edit a subscription purchase (specifically in Solitaire) for a term longer than one month.  Where would that option be found?
